Erwin Wurm captures the image of the Hermes man

Hermes placed itself alongside contemporary art once again with the continued presentation of the work of Erwin Wurm. This time it is at the house’s boutique in Bordeaux, at 2 Place Gambetta, which will be hosting the curious sculptures from the artist from the 17th of September to the 3rd of October.

Erwin Wurm is known for his singular approach to sculpture; the Austrian artist does not use stone or clay, instead simply setting up a human being as an object. By placing the person cum sculpture in an everyday environment, the portrait that is captured can offer a scathing take on contemporary society.

Unusual moments, such as perching on a broom or balancing, laid-out on oranges, transform the subjects into ephemeral sculptures. Erwin Wurm’s work has caught the eye of Veronique Nichanian, artistic director of men’s fashion at Hermes and therefore in the Bordeaux based Hermes boutique will be seen pieces entitled: the anarchist, the psychoanalyst, the hunter, the judge, the traveler, the mathematician and the purist.
These works will be clad in menswear from the Hermes collection. As we see from the picture, the man in Hermes suit carrying a giant Hermes handbag in black crocodile skin is standing on the horseback. It might look odd to some, but to Hermes lovers such as Marc Jacobs and Pharrell Williams, this is totally classy. Men’s Hermes bags are few, but they are absolutely ultimate bags.

Since August 2008, this series of work has been presented in Frankfurt, Paris, London, Tokyo, Miami, Florence, Dalian, Shanghai and Beijing.

Orange Versace Bubble bag

versace bubble hoboThe orange version of Versace Bubble bag is indeed an eye-capturing item. The bright color accents the unique texture of the Versace bag, and warms your winter ensemble as well. Halle Beery and Fergie were spotted carrying the nude and beige versions of the Bubble bag, but I think the orange shade looks more attractive and lovable. The perforated leather is gathered and quilted, creating a cute squishy look which just begs to be touched. The generous interior is roomy without being overwhelming thanks to the abundance of pockets. Ladies, complete your style with glamorous Versace handbags this winter!

Hermes Handbag Sold for Peanuts at Scottish Charity Store

A Scottish stylista recently bagged a bargain, after paying just a few hundred pounds for a Hermes handbag. The prized purse was sold at the Cancer Research UK shop in Pitlochry, Perthshire.

It’s estimated that the bag was worth at least £1500, but the store owners were happy to accept the much smaller donation.

Myself and Sarah, who works out in the store, were looking through a selection of bags, and then this classy looking bag appears at the bottom of the plastic bag. I was still trying to work out what it was, when Sarah starts jumping around saying ‘It’s a Hermes. It’s a Hermes,’” explained store manager, Mary Butchart.

The charity store was inundated with calls as rumors of the Hermes bag quickly swept the town.

Yesterday I received over a dozen calls from people saying they’re interested in the bag, but on Monday a woman came into buy it. We’d been urged by people to put it up on eBay but as a charity we can’t do that. However, this woman came and was willing to pay the cash up front for the bag, so we thought it was a very fair offer.”

I’m sure the mystery buyer agreed! This is definitely a case of being in the right place at the right time.

How incredible the Hermes bag compliments a simple ensemble! This is a 30cm Hermes Birkin in beige crocodile skin with gold tone hardware. I love the beautiful natural veins on the croc leather, and I am so pleased to see how wonderful the bag goes with the casual shirt and shorts. The woman is so lucky to have it and I am envying her.
